Why Hire A Door Crew

Hanging A Door Is Easy. Installing One Is Not.

A door is the one opening your family walks through and slams shut a dozen times a day — and in a storm it faces wind loads across a frame far taller than any window. The threshold has to shed wind-driven rain at floor level, the swing has to clear your porch and egress path, and the frame has to be anchored for door-sized design pressures, not just held plumb.

That's why door installation is its own trade for us, with its own crew leads and checklist. Still deciding which door — entry, French, sliding, series, designs? Start with our impact doors overview. This page is how our door installers get it into your wall so it performs the way the engineering says. Swapping out an old unit? See impact door replacement.

Our Installers, Our Standard

Five Details That Make Or Break A Door Install.

Replacing an old door? →

Every project runs on our own licensed crews under GC license CGC1540149 — insured, bonded, employed by us, never subcontracted. The installer who evaluates your opening is on the crew that installs it.

Threshold & Waterproofing

The sill is where Florida rain actually enters. We bed the threshold in sealant over pan flashing and set it to shed water outward — dry floors in a sideways downpour.

Swing Direction & Clearance

Inswing or outswing changes how the door handles wind, where the hinges sit, and what it clears. We confirm egress, porch, and furniture clearance at the measure — before the door is built.

Frame Anchoring For Door Pressures

A tall door opening sees higher loads than any window. We follow the product approval's anchor schedule fastener by fastener, into masonry or reinforced framing — because that schedule is the rating.

Multi-Point Lock Engagement

Locking points at head, middle, and sill only protect you if every keeper lines up. We adjust strikes until all points throw with one smooth turn.

Sliding Panel Alignment & Rollers

Laminated sliding panels are heavy. We level the track, tune the rollers, and square the interlocks so a 200-plus-pound glass panel glides with two fingers and seats tight.

Sealing & Finish Work

Backer rod and sealant at the perimeter, interior casing restored, exterior lines clean — an install that looks like the door grew there and stays weather-tight.

How It Works

From Measure To Inspection, One Accountable Crew.

Four steps, zero paperwork on your plate — the honest timeline for door installation in Orlando.

01

Measure & Swing Assessment

We laser-measure each opening, check threshold height and slab condition, and settle swing direction and clearance with you on the spot.

02

Order & Permit

Your doors are built to those exact measurements while we file the permit — City of Orlando, Orange County, or Osceola County, we handle it.

03

Install Day

A typical door swap runs a few hours per opening; a whole-home door package honestly takes one to two days. We tell you which before we start.

04

Inspection & Wind-Mitigation Docs

The county inspector signs off, and you receive the product approvals and documentation your insurer's wind-mitigation inspection looks for.

Install Day, For Real

Your Home Stays Yours — And Stays Locked.

Taking a door off a house is different from taking out a window: it's your security, your pets, your routine. Our standing rule — no opening is left without a locking, weather-tight door overnight. Ever.

Secure Same Day

Old door out, new door in, locks engaged — the same day, every opening. Your home is never left exposed while parts sit in a truck.

Floors & Furniture Protected

Drop cloths through the work path, dust containment at the opening, and old doors, frames, and debris hauled away when we're done.

Hardware Walkthrough

Before we leave, you operate every door with us — handles, multi-point locks, sliding panels — until it all feels obvious.

What Backs The Work

Two Warranties: Ours And The Manufacturer's.

Every installation carries our workmanship warranty — anchoring, sealing, adjustments — alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the Eco-Guard™ door itself — one call reaches the company that did the work.

Eco-Guard™ French Doors

Series 600, 650, 850, and 950 — hinged single and double configurations for entries and patios. See our impact French doors page.

Eco-Guard™ Sliding Doors

Series 700, 750, and 760 — two-panel to multi-panel glass walls. Our sliding glass doors page covers panel counts, tracks, and configurations.

Entry & Front Doors

Outswing aluminum-and-glass entries plus Signature designs and decorative glass — the full picture lives on our impact entry doors page.

Every series we install carries Florida Product Approval, and we register your warranty before closing out the job. Curious about the manufacturer? Read about Eco Window Systems, the Miami-built brand we install across Orlando.

Door Installation FAQs

Plan on a few hours per opening: removing the old unit, prepping the threshold, anchoring the new frame, sealing, and lock adjustment. Double entries and heavy multi-panel sliders take longer, and a whole-home door package honestly runs one to two days. We won't promise a 90-minute miracle — rushing ruins exactly those two steps.

Yes — it's a standing rule, not a courtesy. We never leave an opening without a locking, weather-tight door overnight. Each doorway is opened, installed, sealed, and locking before the crew leaves that day — and an installer stays with it while open. On two-day projects, day one's doors are completely finished before day two's come off the house.

We do — filed under our GC license, CGC1540149, before install day. Exterior door replacement requires a permit and final inspection whether your address falls under the City of Orlando, Orange County, or Osceola County, and we handle whichever applies, including the product-approval documents the plan reviewer wants. Be wary of anyone who suggests skipping it — an unpermitted door surfaces at resale and never gets the inspection that proves the anchoring.

Honestly, no — not if you want it impact-rated. The hurricane rating doesn't live in the slab alone: it belongs to the complete engineered unit — slab, frame, threshold, hinges, and locking hardware tested together and anchored per the product approval. An impact slab in a 1995 frame is a heavy door with no rating, no permit path, and no wind-mitigation paperwork. We install the full pre-hung unit — straight, sealed, and smooth-swinging.

Usually, yes. The new impact unit arrives with its own engineered track and threshold, so the old track comes out rather than being reused. We check the sub-sill for level and past water damage, correct the slab if needed, and set the new track in sealant so it drains outward — then hang the panels and tune the rollers until the glass slides with a fingertip. It's the least visible part of a sliding glass door project, and the part that decides how it feels for twenty years.

It depends on the opening, not a flat rate. The drivers are the door type and size (a single entry versus a heavy multi-panel slider), the glass and hardware package, the condition of the existing frame and threshold, and the permit and inspection that come with every job. Rather than quote a range that won't match your house, we put an exact, line-item number on paper at the free in-home measure — and qualified homeowners can finance 100% with $0 down and no payment for 24 months.
